The Sun

Meaning
The hero that is You, your vitality and your heroic adventure. The Sun represents your life force and your conscious choices, that then are "beamed out" into the world and any people/places/things your "light" shines upon. I always see the Sun as the slightly youthful side of you, it is your heroic character mode in life. Every hero has an adventure, they must have a goal, an orientation and spirit to see things through. Self-focused, as opposed to do with group dynamics, this is the person you aspire to be, it's the picture you DO choose to post on social media, but it doesn't come with any filters because it is you at your most complete and radiant without exterior interference. The character of your Sun will take on the expression of whichever Zodiac sign it is in. The Sun can also represent your father, or someone who is a father figure to you, a masculine guiding hand, and it can also indicate suitable career paths.
In your natal chart, any aspects that other planets/elements/aspects make to your Sun are how they interact with it. I like to think of them as characters in a film that bring their own wants/personalities to the mixture and try to influence your hero in various ways.

When the Sun is transiting through your chart as it does everyday, it shines a light on whatever it touches. Whatever the state of your life is concerning, for example, another planet, if the Sun makes an aspect to that planet, then an illumination will occur. This energetic focus can make things grow, and "bring things to light" the state that of the situation.

Energetic combination: Self-awareness, vitality, conscious character creation of self ILLUMINATES your innate drive, warrior spirit, fight, action and passion. Bear in mind, it brings to light the situation and allows it to play out. If you you've been taking care of your health, you've been managing your stress load, this may manifest in a different manner than if you've been overworking yourself and not confronting any issues for a while.
Manifestations: Real feeling of strength, stamina, a sense of your ability to protect those around you, passion, excitement and daring in line with your ideals and how Mars expresses through your chart. Anger at the self, self-righteous rage. Trouble between you and your work. A sense of rage, hostility to "the other", that sense that Dad's being a dick, whether he is or not.

You will have felt a growing sense of urgency, energy and the need to do rather than think. Whatever conscious choices you're making, will now have that added sense of primal urge, protectiveness, fight and action that Mars brings.
Manifestations: Ready to fight, ready to go! Strength, focus, determination. Bravery and ready to snap into real dynamic action to do something good and true, and integral to the hero's journey. Impatience, anger at things moving too slowly, inwardly shrinking in impotent rage, feeling unable to fight, feeling like you need to build a bunker and revise the battle plan.
